A Social Media Approach to Increasing Intercultural Competence in the Border Region

The project aims to develop an internet-based quiz that allows the general public, employees, interns, commuters etc. on both sides of the border to improve their intercultural competence and thus their ability to behave appropriately in the other culture. In order to systematically elicit interculturally relevant knowledge, we use a crowdsourcing approach in which we collect people’s experiences and observations systematically using social media platforms. This project is funded by the BHJ-Foundation.
