Dr Shova Neupane from the Centre for Industrial Electronics (CIE) at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) has been awarded the EPCIA Student Award at EPCIA meeting on 23rd March 2023 in Paris, France, for her outstanding postdoctoral work.
The EPCIA Student Award Committee assessed the interesting publication of Dr Neupane as an outstanding academic work in the area of electronic passive components. The award is granted with €5,000.
The EPCIA award was granted to Dr Neupane for the successful prototype development of an aluminium-based polymer electrolytic capacitor (e-cap). The e-caps were prepared at the university research laboratory (CIE, SDU lab) under the research project partially funded by EPCIA and successfully tested for a long time at 450V with 105°C. Those e-caps are competitive with DC-link capacitors in power converters in electric vehicles.
