Victor Martin-Sanchez is an Associate Professor at the International Business and Entrepreneurship Group in the Department of Business and Management at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).

Before joining SDU, Victor was an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at King's Business School - King's College London (UK). He holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain) and was a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA).

His main research interests lie at the intersection of entrepreneurship, internationalization, and strategy, with a specific focus on international comparative entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial growth aspirations, strategic human capital, and the individual and institutional drivers of entrepreneurial action. Essentially, Victor examines the connection between the individual entrepreneur—focusing on human capital and socio-cognitive traits—and the environment, particularly the institutional context, and how this interaction impacts entrepreneurial outcomes such as growth aspirations, innovation, and internationalization.

Victor's research has been published in leading academic journals such as Organization Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Small Business Economics, and Journal of Banking & Finance.
