Forskningsinteresser

I’m a PhD in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering. My main interests relate to structural dynamics and monitoring, involving the analysis of real-life data from structures in-operation. The main challenge relates to the evolutionary dynamics on multiple time scales, driven by time-dependent structural properties and environmental/operational effects. I have specialized on the development of system identification and damage diagnosis methods, which involve the complementary areas of signal processing, statistics, and machine learning. Likewise, I use physical principles to guide me on the development best suiting system identification and diagnosis algorithms. While my main driver is scientific curiosity, my wish is to develop tools that can help us better understand nature.
