Throughout my career I have been privileged to work as a clinician scientist and currently hold postions as Clinical Professor, Research Group Leader, and Lead Consultant in Hematology. My research group conducts a preclinical patient-centric AML research program with focus on developing innovative theapeutic strategies for clnical translation. We are investigating inhibitors that can overcome resistance to current AML standard therapies, and are activley collaborating with two Danish biotech companies on preclinical development of novel immunotherapies for AML. I am also highly engaged in the clinical AML community where I serve as  sponsoring PI of the first and very successful investigator-initiated pan-Nordic AML trial, as board member of the Danish Acute Leukemia Group and the Nordic AML Group, where I chair the Trial  Working Group.  Additionaly,  I chair the  Danish Medicines Council’s clinical expert committee on Acute Leukemia.
