Biografi:
B.A. i historie Harvard University l96. M.A.T. i Samfundsfag og Pædagogik Harvard University l964. M.A. og Ph.d. i historie University of California, Berkeley 1966 og 1974. Forskningsstipendier ved University of California, Berkeley (l969-71, l973-74 ), herunder ét års forskningsophold i London, med tilknytning til Institute for Historical Research, University of London (l969-70). Undervisningsassistent og Instructor ved University of California Berkeley (l968-69, l971-72) og Lecturer ved Washington University, l976. Adjunkt og derefter lektor i britisk historie og samfundsforhold, Odense Unversitet fra l978-
