Forskningsområde

Camilla Marie Larsen has a professional background as a physiotherapist and received a master degree in Health Science from the University of Southern Denmark, Faculty of Health Sciences, in 2008. She finished her PhD in 2014 at the same university, Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, Research unit for Physical Activity and Health at Work.


She is currently holding a teaching assistant professor position affiliated with the Research Unit of Musculoskeletal Function and Physiotherapy, Centre for Adapted Physical Activity Participation Studies and the Health Sciences Research Centre, UCL University College, Odense Denmark. Her current research focus on shoulder pain and physical activity among individuals with spinal cord injury, and she further works with clinimetric testing of questionnaires, as well as, systematic searches of the literature in relation to treatment and prevention of shoulder pain among spinal cord injured. Her field of research includes epidemiological, clinimetric and literature review methods – also applied in her other research areas including chronic low back pain and sexual disability in men.
Additionally, her research includes biomechanical and electromyographic methods, with an interest in neuromuscular function and movement analysis of the upper limb.
