Forskningsinteresser
My primary research area relates to population health equity, pertaining specifically to (1) structural/social determinants of health disparities in people with intellectual disabilities, (2) the link between structural, systemic, and interpersonal discrimination and population health outcomes, and (3) social connectedness, loneliness, and mental/physical health outcomes. Other topics in focus include lifestyle-related disease intervention design and implementation.
I am currently employed as a senior research scientist the Department of Public Health at the University of Southern Denmark. I also have institutional affiliations at the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney, Australia, and the Department of Population Health at New York University, USA.
