Management experience
Tina Kold Jensen has extensive experience in coordinating research projects both nationally and internationally and has been principal investigator on more EU, NIH subcontracts and National Research Council grants. She is currently holds grants from a joint European Biomonitoring project with more than 38 partners, the Danish Research Council, Novo Nordic Foundation and Odense University Hospital. She has been involved in the conduction of several cohort studies of for example couples attempting pregnancy, semen quality among more than 5000 healthy young men, a Danish-Finnish mother-child cohort among more than 2500 children, puberty studies in Danish and adopted children, a birth cohort study of children to mothers working in green houses and several birth cohorts in the Faroe Islands.She isemployed at Department of Environmental Medicine, SDU and as a consultant at Department of Growth and Reproduction at Rigshospitalet supervising several students working within the cohorts. She is the research leader of the Odense Child Cohort study in which 2500 pregnant women were enrolled in early pregnancy from 2010-12 and their offspring are being followed to the age of 18 years with extensive repeatedly collected information from both questionnaires, biological sampling and clinical examinationsin order to study the importance of developmental exposures for later health and disease. The cohort is a collaboration between several clinicians and researchers with different interests.

Tina Kold Jensen is a physician and environmental epidemiologist andhas been a professor at the University Of Southern Denmark from 2005. From 2009 she has been employed as a professor at University Hospital of Rigshospitalet and is a consultant there. She has obtained several both national and international grants and has served as coordinator and work package leader on EU grants. Participated in several national and international research consortia. She has published more than 175 articles in internationally per-reviewed epidemiological and reproductive journals within areas of reproduction and developmental origin of disease. Research areas include 1) Exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals during vulnerable time periods and the risk of obesity and metabolic syndrome; 2) Spatial and temporal changes in semen quality in Europe and US and association to lifestyle; 3) Developmental Origin of Health and Disease; 4) Measuring human fecundity by use of time to pregnancy; trends and the impact of lifestyle; 5) The testicular dysgenesis hypothesis.
She has a special interest in studying adverse effect of fetal exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals on obesity and metabolic syndrome, infections,reproduction, growth pattern, allergic disease, neuropsychological and ADHD development.
