Forskningsinteresser

I am professor and Head of the research unit Movement, Culture and Society (MoCS). The backbone of my research consists of my scientific contribution to handle the interdisciplinary challenge of combining phenomenology and qualitative research methodologies within dance, sports and health sciences. Physical activity is beneficial for our health and – often – for our social life. However, as my research until now has indicated, there is much more to understand in relation to the ways we are involved in the practices,– and the ways in which cultivation and enculturation of the body unfolds through different kinds of movement practice. My research spans from contributing to contemporary philosophical phenomenological discussions relating to movement practices to having a more direct impact on cultural and societal issues concerning realisation and organisation of practices.
