"Determinants of young people's reactions to risk information: The role of personality, perceived life stress and message characteristics"

Chair of the Ph.D. defense
This Ph.d. project focuses on two major but quite different public health threats: type 2 diabetes (T2D) and terrorism. Despite decades of research on what determines people’s responses to (health-) threatening messages, many knowledge gaps have remained regarding the relevance of message characteristics on one hand and recipient/target group characteristics on the other.
