BeskrivelseWe are inviting BAM members who are interested in issues of equality, diversity, inclusion and respect in business schools, and in making business school cultures more equal and inclusive, to participate in this workshop. During the workshop, we will share the initial results from the first stage of data collection and analysis conducted as part of the BAM Strategic Project entitled 'Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Respect in UK Schools of Business and Management'. This will include both the outcomes of statistical analysis of EDI-related HESA data and findings from qualitative interviews with business school leaders.
Following from the empirical material gathered so far, we are able to begin to build an understanding of both the experiences of participants related to equality, diversity, inclusion and respect, but also of organisational cultures and structures within which current inequalities are embedded and reproduced. The workshop will focus on generating further insights and potential solutions through involvement of participants in discussing data vignettes and collectively imagining ‘interventions’ aimed at making business school cultures more equal and inclusive.
