Beskrivelse
Ph.d. course and research writing retreat with a focus on Bildung in the Anthropocene. The notion of the Anthropocene signifies that we today live in increasingly unstable time, marked by anthropogenic impact on the whole life zone of Earth – a harmfully increased greenhouse effect, microplastic in all organisms etc. How can humanistic and post humanistic research contribute to critical understanding of this relative new situation and its socio-cultural roots? And how can it contribute with eco-activistic research that might be helpful to catalyze more life-friendly human practices and collaboration with the more-than-human world? The seminar critically examines new research theories, approaches, methodologies, concepts, and research strategies applied in the context of environmental humanities and social sciences, such as eco-phenomenology, eco-feminism, posthuman, post-qualitative, post-colonial, multispecies and more-than-human research strategies, and frameworks, including turns such as the reparative, regenerative, affective, playful, material, and plant-based turns.
